HOW WE HELP
The Diversity Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting boys aged 13-18 who are in juvenile detention centers and foster care on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Our mission is to empower young boys to overcome their challenges and reach their full potential by providing comprehensive services, fostering strong community ties, and advocating for systemic change. We offer mentorship, educational and vocational training, mental health support, and reintegration services to help them build a foundation for a successful future. As a year-round nonprofit, nonpartisan educational program, we encourage participants to achieve results, obtain an education, attend vocational or trade school, or join the Armed Services.
As a key player in the social services sector, we are focused on making a positive impact in the lives of these boys, not only in our local community but also across the broader Mississippi Gulf Coast. Through strong community partnerships and unwavering support, we aim to build a foundation for lasting positive outcomes and contribute to the overall well-being of our society.

At The Diversity Center, our vision is to make a society where every boy has the opportunity, support, and resilience to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. We envision to create a world where these young men can transform their lives, break free from cycles of disadvantage, and become thriving community members through unwavering support, holistic services, and strong community partnerships.
Our mission at The Diversity Center is to reclaim the lives of high school dropouts aged 13-18, empowering them with values, life skills, education, and self-discipline to succeed as productive citizens. We aim to provide mentorship, job skills training, and community service opportunities, fostering self-confidence and ambition. Our goal is to encourage participants through our year-round, nonpartisan educational program to achieve educational milestones, attend vocational/trade school, or join the Armed Services.
